Our licensed psychotherapists provide Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed services to address symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).

At Davenport Creative Arts Therapy, all therapists are DBT-informed providers and have completed at least 28-hours of intensive in-person DBT training. Each therapist receives ongoing DBT-Informed mentoring within the practice from Emily Davenport who has completed 175 hours of intensive DBT training under Dr. Shari Manning, PhD (former President/CEO of Behavioral Tech).

We integrate DBT Skills with Art Therapy to help you create a life worth living. In addition to individual skills training, we will teach you compassion-focused cognitive modification techniques and use creative modalities to help you reduce emotional vulnerability, increase distress tolerance, resilience and self-worth.

*We are not part of an adherent DBT program as we do not provide standardized phone coaching, skills groups nor are we part of a consultation team at this time.

"I’ve been with Emily for years and I can’t begin to thank her enough. She has helped me work through a significant amount of past trauma. I’ve seen many therapists in the past, and none were ever truly effective in making me feel like I had the potential to work past my pain. Through her dedicated time and engagement, I have come leaps and bounds. I’m excited to see where we go from here, because I know with her help, I will continue to achieve the betterment I have been seeking."
