Hi, I’m Emily. I hold 300 hours of intensive DBT Training with the Treatment Implementation Collaborative. Over a two-year period of time, I attended a series of multi-day live trainings, and consultation with Dr. Shari Manning, PhD and Annie McCall, LMHC.
I was part of a DBT Consultation team at New York City Children’s Center, and created DBT-Informed Art Therapy programs with the state of New York.
What is DBT?
DBT is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy that effectively teaches people how to manage intense emotions, build healthier relationships, and tolerate distress through a skills-based approach to therapy.
The pillars of DBT are emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT was originally designed to treat Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). I
DBT continues to be the gold standard for treating Borderline Personality Disorder, suicidal ideation, and self-harm.
I offer individual DBT Skills training and DBT-Informed care to help teens, adults address:

In sessions, you’re learn various DBT Skills to regulate emotions, tolerate distress, increase interpersonal effectiveness and mindfulness. Parents of children in DBT-Informed therapy will learn DBT Skills, too!We’ll follow DBT-Informed protocols
I use modes and protocols of DBT such as DBT Diary Cards to track progress, and reinforcing life worth living goals. I follow best practices for addressing suicidality and self-harm.
You’ll receive coaching in between session:
I offer coaching in between sessions if you’re struggling.You’ll use a Diary Card:
For certain clients who are struggling with suicidality or self-harm, I implement DBT Diary cards to track progress and skill acquisition.
