As you know. It often doesn’t work. Here’s why.………your emotions, and motivations are stored in your “feeling brain” or limbic system.

Traditional talk therapy typically only accesses your ‘thinking brain’ or prefrontal cortex in sessions. That’s why traditional talk therapy doesn’t work for some people.. AND…that’s why many people can’t just ‘think’ their way out of anxiety.

In order to heal from trauma, anxiety, unhelpful stress responses, and behavioral patterns, it’s critical to integrate limbic-system healing.

Anxiety and trauma is not just a collection of negative thought patterns.

They are emotional, physiological, behavioral and cognitive experiences. This is why methods such as CBT fall short.

I practice mind-body therapy and offer a bottom-up approach to wellbeing.

I recognize that the body and mind are interconnected, and that experiences can become trapped in the nervous system.

I’m a Licensed Board-Certified Art Therapist with fourteen-years of clinical experience treating children, teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, complex trauma, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and self-sabotaging behaviors.

My approach integrates evidence-based therapies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Art Therapy.

I’m down-to-earth, and friendly, and easy to talk to. I truly believe that you are capable of healing and wellness.
