“I’m very happy with Davenport Creative Arts Therapy. I was having anxiety and had a depressed mood because of work and other personal issues. I felt down, lonely, empty, sad in the morning, having anxiety episodes on my way to work, etc.. To me, all of these symptoms were new so I was really scared and thought that those feelings were going to stay forever. “I worked with Abby and the Davenport Creative Arts Therapy Team for a year and a half, and it was by far the best experience I had in therapy. To begin, the team collaborated with my insurance, which can be so difficult for clients to have to navigate on their own when we also are struggling with our mental health. Abby treated me with so much respect and dignity. She took the time to listen to my accounts, and paused and asked questions about my identity as a woman of color to help us both understand how my identity impacts my world and interaction with others.
